Things that currently terrify me.

…inspired by the wood rabbit.

1. For some reason, leaning against the bright red gates (which have signs on them that say “Do not lean against”) that every-so-often break up the rail fence on the roof of the tower at Central Florida Fire Academy, and plummeting down to a very loud SMACK on the hot concrete below.

2. My razor acting as a cheese slicer, which then cuts an entire strip of skin off my leg.

3. At any given time, being broadsided on Maximillion’s side of the car by one of thousands moronic Orlando drivers who appear suddenly, because they are driving 95 in a 35, as I take a legal left turn on the green arrow.

4. 2012

5. Getting my eyeballs sliced by and breathing in tiny glass shards during vehicle extrications. Flushing with water pushes the glass dust deeper, where it is permanently embedded and condemns me to stinging blinking for the rest of my life. Also, obviously, chronic coughing up blood.

#nowplaying over and over in my head.

it’s bullshit if dumbass guys who can’t get into college decide to be firefighters, get their associate’s degree, and take some firefighting classes or what the fuck ever, and end up making 100k a year. okay, i get that you fight fires and shit. but seriously all they do is work out and sit around and they get like weeks off at a time. and i’m going to be in school for the next 3 years, which is going to cost me $100,000. not to mention law school. or a doctorate program. and in the end, i’m not even going to fucking make that much. so fuck that.

Ignorance. I could argue/disprove everything she said, but I’m tooooo busy. And above that.

People who are uneducated and misinformed and have no clue what they are talking about disappoint me.

Anatomy & Physiology almost was the death of me.

But, I survived. Flying colors. Kinda. I passed with an 82, and all though that doesn’t sound like something to be boasting, I’m beyond excited about it. It’s passing, and I don’t have to re-take that test.

Onward and upward.

Every week down in EMT down is a week closer to Fire Standards.

…my legs are dying from PT. But it’s a good pain. Stillllll sore from Thursday when we did lunges all the way to your mom’s house and back.

Today we practiced taking vitals, suctioning and administering oxygen by means of three different oxygen masks. Also worked on back boarding possible spinal chord injury victims. Then an hour of PT.

It only gets harder (and better) from here =)
